Customized online database of 600 local funders and 200 national funders that have a history of funding in Kansas City. Members have 24/7 access with their Council username and password. Fully searchable database includes:
Funding priorities
Giving history, including sample grants funded
Application procedures.
Council members also have access to alerts on grantmaking cycles of area funders.
Free or Discounted Seminars and Workshops
Council Seminars are offered in nonprofit administration, nonprofit governance, fundraising, marketing and communications, volunteer management, grantmaking and career advancement.
Scholarships for Philanthropy Midwest Conference
Only Council members are eligible to apply for full or partial scholarships to attend the annual Philanthropy Midwest Conference.
Nonprofit training at The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Exclusive partnership with The Chamber allows Council members to attend nonprofit track seminars for the Chamber member price of $15. Council members that are also members of The Chamber are eligible to apply to lead or host a seminar.
Online Access to Seminar Presentations and Handouts Council members never miss a learning opportunity with free, online access to presentations and handouts from most educational seminars.
Free Registration for Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups provide Council members in similar roles the opportunity to learn, brainstorm and share resources. Eleven different Affinity Groups are currently offered.
